The Homicide House-
Chapter Two: Waking Up
When I woke up, Luna was standing over me and Perry was behind me, tying something around my neck. I jumped up, wondering what they were trying to do to me. Then, as quick as a lightning bolt, Luna pounced on me and pinned me down, snarling. I struggled relentlessly, but it was no use. She had me. I wondered what Perry was tying around my neck.
Perry skipped to the rafters with such graceful speed I didn’t think possible. Behind her, she trailed the rope still tightly strung around my neck. She pulled me to the rafters with such strength, it was incredible.
Struggling and trying desperately to grasp to a support, I reached up to my neck and got hold of the rope. I started tugging, with all of my strength, but it made no difference whatsoever with my condition.
She had pulled me up to the rafters and stopped dragging me. I got up, gasping and straining for air. “You like your necklace?” she teased. I tried to sputter out a clever and witty comeback, but all I could muster was a weak cough. Perry flipped up to the ceiling, and hung my frayed rope to a hook on the ceiling that looked disturbingly like bones. She pulled. And hung. My heart skipped a beat. She was going to kill me. They had sent me here to kill me! Maybe it’s because I was different. And at this point, I felt a genuine need to kill them, to kill anybody. I wanted to kill. And apparently, Perry did too.
